Jewelry’s Lasting Legacy

Jewelry’s Lasting Legacy

This past week, I had the opportunity to visit the Metropolitan Museum, and one thing stood out to me: jewelry is everywhere. Across cultures, eras, and artistic movements, jewelry has always been a constant.

I saw everything from carved wood and ivory to intricate gold and enamel pieces crafted using a technique called cloisonné. There were world-famous pieces from Fabergé and ear ornaments carved for African tribes, even depicted in the famous paintings adorning the museum walls.

Jewelry isn’t going anywhere. Throughout history, it has been used as an adornment to symbolize something deeply significant to the wearer. Later, I stopped by an antique store just blocks away from Central Park and was amazed to see pieces dating back to the 1700s. I’ll admit—I wanted to buy them all!

Every person who comes into our store has a beautiful reason for their purchase. There’s a story behind every piece.

The jewelry we hold and design becomes something meaningful for someone, somewhere, bringing brightness to their day—and possibly for the rest of their life. 💎
